Este libro bilingüe (español/quechua) relata la vida y obra del maestro de arte tradicional Julio Gálvez, reconocido como personaje meritorio de la cultura peruana por su experticia en el tallado del alabastro o piedra de Huamanga, patrimonio cultural de la nación.
