This is the text of Moratin's "El Si de las Ninas", in Spanish with an English introduction and notes.

Written by Venezuela's Minister for Culture, this memoir relates a personal vision of President Hugo Chavez and the reforms that are sweeping Venezuela today, describing the reasons for the changes, the transformation of Venezuelan society, and the importance of culture in Venezuela's development. Above all the book asserts the importance of revolutionary values and ethics as the basis for the political, social and cultural revolution in Venezuela.

Este trabajo presenta una introducción al análisis de la oración simple inglesa siguiendo un enfoque primordialmente funcional. Como base teórica para el análisis se parte del concepto de «diátesis» tal y como lo plantearon los lingüistas del círculo de Leningrado en los años setenta (Mel’cuk, Jolodovic, Khrakovsky y Uspenskij), retomado en Mel’cuk (1993) dentro del marco de la meaning Text Grammar.
