En el presente volumen se publica el «dúo humano» Amante fatiga de José de Torres, organista y luego maestro de la Real Capilla. Se trata de una cantata extensa o pequeña serenata de tipo arcádico, compuesta aproximadamente entre 1715 y 1725. Quizá el destinatario de la obra fue José Manuel de Silva y Mendoza de la Cerda, X Conde de Galve y marido de la XI Duquesa de Alba. La partitura es uno de los pocos documentos musicales que se salvaron del incendio que asoló el Palacio de Liria, propiedad de los Duques de Alba, en 1936.
