Harley knows her grandparents are sick, but what she doesn't know is that the four of them will take turns going to the bathroom in their vacation trailer when she comes to visit. None of it makes sense and sends her into a panic until her Nana, the last to make the leap, explains to her that the bathroom in their getaway home is not only that, but a portal to the afterlife. For years they had been the secret keepers of this portal, but now, in their time to enter, leaving life behind for the land of the dead, that responsibility has fallen to Harley. Beyond the shock, there is only one problem with the plan, Harley's little brother Malcolm has accidentally disappeared along with them after he hid inside a bag on wheels. Now, suddenly, some very important decisions must be made, as not only will their parents arrive to join the vacation the next morning, but if Malcolm stays in the land of the dead for 24 hours, he will be trapped there forever, unable to escape. Our main character comes to the conclusion that he must enter the portal of doom, navigate the Land of the Dead and rescue his brother before his parents arrive at the caravan. Más allá de la conmoción, solo hay un problema con el plan, el hermano pequeño de Harley, Malcolm, ha desaparecido accidentalmente junto con ellos después de que se escondió dentro de una bolsa con ruedas. Ahora, de repente, se deben tomar algunas decisiones muy importantes, ya que no solo sus padres llegarán para unirse a las vacaciones a la mañana siguiente, sino que si Malcolm se queda en la tierra de los muertos durante 24 horas, estará atrapado allí para siempre, sin poder escapar.
